Chacaltaya and Moon Valley are two of the best attractions of La Paz. This tour combines two amazing locations to explore in one single day. On one hand we have Chacaltaya, the former highest sky station in the world, and on the other we have Moon Valley, a maze of canyons and giant spires composed mainly of clay and sandstone.

08:00 – 09:00 a. m. Pick up from hotel, central zone around San Francisco square. The journey lasts approximately 1 hour from La Paz to the Chacaltaya mountain, which is considered the highest ski mountain in the world and the closest to the Equator.
We will observe other mountains of the Andes such as Illimani and Tuni Codoriri and we will make some guided walks.
13:30 We return to La Paz, then we go to the Moon Valley, the journey from La Paz to the Moon Valley is approximately 45 minutes.
In the Moon Valley we will take guided walks, this place is characterized by its strange calcareous formations result of soil erosion, this place was named by the American astronaut Niel Armstrong during his visit to Bolivia, due to the similar landscape that this valley has compared to the moon.
